We have all felt it rewarding and satisfying providing
this most needed outlet to our Veterans. The smiles
being there giving them support and comfort if only
for a brief period of time.

It's the giving of ourselves without any expectation of getting something back that
makes this project such a rewarding activity, but we do get something back. The
heartfelt gratitude of individuals who themselves have given so much already. The

Thanks to our own bingo operation we are able to provide every month $200
monthly for canteen booklets as prizes for the Veterans to use for purchases in
along with other items purchased such as sandwiches, deviled eggs, doughnuts,
coffee, drinks, candy, pastries, some are for diabetics, etc. at their own expense.

The monthly bingo at McGuire Veterans Center has
become one of our most popular community service
activities. We have had great turnouts not only from
for our Veterans but also help from several of our
regular bingo players, members of Fairmont
Christian Church, Members from other Lions Clubs,
and family members including small children.
